The Sabir Cardigan by Zanete Hussain of Zanete Knits is a textured, Aran-style design that cleverly avoids traditional cables. Inspired by a Vogue Knitting Live class with André de Castro, the pattern uses a mix of slipped and tuck stitches to create its distinctive honeycomb effect. Originally designed as a playful twist on a “plain and simple” cardigan for her partner, the Sabir Cardigan features thoughtful details like double-knit button bands for structure and clean edges. Best knit in a light, airy DK-weight yarn to highlight the texture without adding bulk.
The kit includes the following colourway in the required quantity on British DK from Les Garçons. The pattern is not included; it is available on Ravelry.
Main colour (7 to 10 skeins, 100 g): “Jonathan's Soft Day”
