Jean-Philippe Cliche

Jean-Philippe is a trained industrial designer and he learned to knit and crochet 10 years ago. His brand, Atelier Clichē, was born from the desire to create beautiful quality products, manufactured at a human pace. It didn’t take long for him to start designing patterns.
MÖKKI Beanie

MÖKKI Beanie

The MÖKKI Beanie by designer Jean-Philippe Cliche is inspired by the Finnish word mökki, meaning “little hut” or “cottage”. This term evokes the comfort and warmth of a wilderness refuge, reminiscent of moments when we huddle together in the shelter of winter’s cold. Like those cocooning moments, the MÖKKI Beanie is designed to offer an enveloping, comforting sensation, thanks to its thick, fluffy texture. It’s the ideal companion for facing cold days in style and comfort.

Tegel Hat

Tegel Hat

The TEGEL HAT from our friend Jean-Philippe, at Atelier Clichē, borrows its name from the Swedish word “tegel,” meaning “brick.” This accessory is a tribute to strong geometric patterns and rich textures, evoking the sturdiness and warmth of a Nordic home. This hat is knitted flat with intarsia technique to create the colourblock. The crown is created with short rows, and the hat is closed using grafting in garter stitch. This hat is neither knitted from the bottom up nor from the top down, but rather sideways.
