Fun Fur Cowl (by Maxim Cyr)

$9.00

This pattern is available in English and in French as a digital download.

The Fun Fur Cowl is knitted in the round as a seamless tube, starting with a provisional
cast-on. Once the tube is complete, the ends are twisted then grafted together to form the cowl, and the fabric is brushed to achieve its signature faux-fur effect.

MEASUREMENTS

Height: 10” / 25 cm
Circumference: 29” / 74 cm

YARN
❖ Weight: Super bulky
To achieve the fuzzy effect, use a single-ply yarn close to roving. If the yarn has multiple plies twisted together, it will not brush out.
160 yd / 146  m
2 skeins of Super Bulky from Hedgehog Fibres

Sample shown in Super Bulky from Hedgehog Fibres (100% Merino Wool, superwash; 90 yd / 82 m per 150 g skein) in the “Lone Wolf” colourway.

NEEDLES

You will also need a second pair of needles to hold the live stitches from the provisional cast-on when grafting.

❖ 8.5 stitches and 12 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, not blocked, before brushing

NOTIONS
❖ Stitch marker (1), tapestry needle, metal bristle brush (like a blending board brush or a cat grooming brush)
