The Midnight Mirage Top, by designer Anne Ventzel, is a delicate sweater featuring a distinct, almost embroidered-looking pattern across the yoke. The design uses the slipped-stitch technique, a clever and effortless way to achieve the look of stranded colourwork while only ever knitting with one colour at a time. The collar, hem and cuffs are worked in twisted rib for an elegant, well-defined finish, while the body and sleeves are worked in the round in classic stockinette stitch.
The kit includes the following colourways in the required quantities on Trio 2, Silk Mohair, and Jensen from Isager. The pattern is not included; it is available on Ravelry.
Yarn A (4 to 7 balls, 50 g, Trio 2): “Ink”
Yarn B (3 to 6 balls, 25 g, Silk Mohair): “30”
Yarn C (1 skein, 50 g, Jensen): “0”
Colour A: One strand of yarn A + one strand of yarn B
Colour B: One strand of yarn C
