Laurian's Tuque (by Vincent Deslandes)

$7.00

This pattern is available in English and in French as a digital download.

Some of you know about Laurian. Laurian was my mother’s father. He was a proud Beauceron, and the inspiration before the sweater of the same name. I had wanted to make a tuque inspired by The Beauceron, by Laurian, for quite a while now.

Laurian’s Tuque features the same slipped stitches colourwork (aka mosaic knitted) motif than The Beauceron. The tuque is comprised of 5 sections of a mindless, 4-row repeat, inspired by how I constructed the sweater (Max doesn’t understand the link, but I swear, there is one…!)

You will need aran-weight yarn, in two colourways (high or low contrast). If you buy two full skeins, you have enough to make 2 hats of the largest size, in inverted colours, with big and fluffly pompoms for each.

MEASUREMENTS
Sizes:
1 (2, 3, 4)

Circumference, unstretched:

To fit head circumference of:
18 (20, 22, 24) in
45 (50, 55, 60) cm
