The Tähesära by designer Aleks Byrd is a steeked triangular shawl that features a beautiful central panel of reversible roosimine Estonian inlay. On either side of the roosimine panel are sections of reversible textured seed stitch; the top edge of the shawl is finished with an i-cord bind off.
The Saar vest by Aleks Byrd is based on a particular version of a troi sweater (an Estonian fisherman sweater made on the island of Kihnu) that was made in the 1950s for Kihnu native and historian Theodor Saar (also referred to as Kaerametsä Veeda).
