Our friend Aleks Byrd is a knitwear designer and illustrator. When it comes to designing and illustrating knitwear, Aleks loves to work with many different strands. With a heritage tied to three countries – USA, Estonia and Canada – she has plenty of ideas and inspiration running through her, but tends to play with her Estonian roots in particular, weaving it into new patterns in order to produce modern and unique designs with a connection to the past.

Alicia Plummer (she/her) is a teacher, knitwear designer and author who lives in Maine, near the Ocean. She spends her time outdoors, kayaking, hiking, wandering trails and drinking in sunsets. Alicia believes that knitting patterns are a method of storytelling. Our voices and experiences matter. We can incorporate worlds into our stitches: memories, moments, feelings.

We have put together some bundles for some of Sari Nordlund's patterns. Sari is a wonderful designer, and we love everything she creates. She lives by the sea in Finland. She’s a professional knitwear designer who also spends most of her free time knitting, despite vowing never again to touch needles and yarn after failed attempts at knitting in her childhood. Sari loves undyed wool, knitting cables, good quality coffee and cats, not necessarily in that order.

Stephen was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma; moved to Chicago, Illinois for school, and later moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands, to study choreography. Stephen's designs have been knitted by thousands of knitters all around the world. He currently lives in Amsterdam where he co-owns Stephen & Penelope, a yarn boutique in the city center.
