The Saar vest by Aleks Byrd is based on a particular version of a troi sweater (an Estonian fisherman sweater made on the island of Kihnu) that was made in the 1950s for Kihnu native and historian Theodor Saar (also referred to as Kaerametsä Veeda).
The kit includes the following colourways in the required quantities on British Sport from Les Garçons. The pattern is not included; it is available on Ravelry.
Main colour (2 to 4 skeins, 100 g): “Aleks’s Red Squirrel Friend”
Contrasting colour 1 (1 or 2 skein(s), 100 g): “Natural”
Contrasting colour 2 (1 skein, 100 g): “Édith’s Butler”
